Setting up your code editor

There are some tools that will help you to write code. One of these, Prettier, formats your code, making it easier for you and others to read. Another tool, Jest, is a test runner that will turn on Test 探索r in Visual Studio Code.

1. Using Prettier, Test Runner, and other recommended tools in Visual Studio Code

• Open this repository in Visual Studio Code
• Accept the prompt to install the recommended extensions

2. Enable formatting on save

• In Visual Studio open the settings file (see https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/getstarted/settings#_creating-user-and-workspace-settings)
• 搜索 for editor format
• Set editor.formatOnSave and editor.formatOnPaste to true

3. Install the packages for this coursework

• Open the terminal in Visual Studio Code
• Run npm install in the root of this repository
