Suggestion

After running, minimize it to the system tray and display it as a small database icon.
Click it to show the command line window.
The CMD window is not displayed by default.

Hi ! I suppose you are using sqlpage on a windows desktop or laptop, is that right ? I'm curious what your use case is, could you tell us a little bit more ?

Usually, developers initially use sqlpage on their own machine, while working and testing their application. At that time, seeing the live logs is useful. Then they deploy the application for others to use. Usually, at that time, they run sqlpage on a server (often on linux), that does not have a graphical environment, and where there is no concept of a "system tray".

Yes, I've already made it a handy utility on my Windows system, calling it frequently when needed, without relying on the system environment.

Even on a different computer, it works effortlessly.

I create a local web application for the millions of data entries I query daily, directly reading the local SQLite database file.

Database queries are incredibly easy and simple. I only need roughly three files (the resulting .sql and .json files are negligible) to create a portable utility:

1. *.htm, the local webpage

2. *.db, the local database file

3. sqlpage.exe, the intermediary.

Advantages of sqlpage: No need to install Python or Node.js, no reliance on a local server environment, just a portable sqlpage.exe.

Applications: For example, managing my ebooks, creating my note-taking and querying tool, and my self-developed diary tool.

I run it for a while when needed, and close it when not (safe and resource-saving).

When it's running, I focus on the content of my utility,and don't pay too much attention to the scrolling content in the command prompt.At this point, all I need to know is that it's still running.

The logs are only needed when errors occur, during debugging, or for improvements; clicking the small icon in the system tray opens a command prompt window.

The ingenious uses of sqlpage.exe exceed your original expectations?

I feel it can be used as an everyday tool.

It breaks the limitation that local HTML files cannot read and write local files.

And it doesn't require deploying a local server; it's ready to use right out of the box—perfect.

I hope there's a feature to switch between minimizing to the system tray and using the command prompt.

What pain points does it solve?

• I wanted to run a script, but there was always a black window taking up space in the taskbar, which was annoying.
• I was afraid of accidentally closing the script window. I meant to minimize the script window, but I accidentally closed the CMD window that - runs the script, and the script stopped working.
• I couldn't find the progress window. With a bunch of windows open, I had to search through them one by one to see where the script was.

I think what's recommended in your case is more something like https://github.com/kirillkovalenko/nssm or https://github.com/winsw/winsw that allow you to run SQLPage as an actual windows service.
