Just wanted to drop a note that the @ file mentioning behavior is the best I've seen in any code assistant. It is more responsive and is better at prioritizing the match I want (possibly via proximity) in giant workspaces. Nice job!

This is no longer the case. CC is now better.

Nearly all the time, I want to link to a directory not a file. Also the CC listing is cleaner. Perhaps CC is respecting .gitignore and CP is not? I also dislike the @ prefix for the files. That would make sense for social media handles but not for files.

Perhaps stating the obvious, the DX of the file picker is a key aspect of assistant competitveness. I use the file picker (in either tool) constantly.

The unfiltered CC is also better.

I prefer the experience where .gitignore files are not included, at least by default. As you can see, the files that are showing up in CP-CLI are generated (key point) and not useful. Getting access to them seems to be an advanced scenario. This is a common problem I see on my own team. There are some default scenario with dotnet CLI that I think are super advanced but people think they are normal because they are the default. The question I have is what the user story is for files under .gitignore. I cannot tell you what that is. It gets complicated very quickly. In any case, I prefer these files being hidden as I have no use for them. It's also not like I cannot tell the assistant to them. I can.

I'm using GHC CLI for non-coding tasks - for various "personal assistant" capabilities.

My "work stuff" / knowledge is under .gitignore;

Essentially the repo is a mix of GIT tracked files which contain "the logic" and .gitignored files which contain the "user's content". I often want to refer to a file by using the @ sign, and I was finding it not nice that it doesn't show my "content" files. More often than not, when I'm referring to a file, it'll be a "content" file that's .gitignored, rather than a "code" file that shows up when I do @ to refer to them.
